Today I reached Kerala, the beautiful deep south of India, which was just ranked as #21 in The New York Times’ “The 45 Places to Go in 2012”. #aheadofthetrend.

I’m staying in the charming town of Fort Kochi which boasts lush backwaters, a fishing industry that still uses the ancient art of chinese fishing nets, an old dutch cemetery and a synagogue in the small section of Jew Town, where India’s jewish population resided before a mass exodus to Israel.

Though why anyone would want to leave this paradise is beyond me.
