I love a good FAQ sheet! Here, answers to some of the most frequently asked questions, and a few that I just fake-asked in order to share some background. Like this first one:

What can I expect to read about on this blog?
This blog, like my life, could probably benefit from a mission statement. My lack thereof is probably the biggest indicator of what you’ll find here, though: I’m really just trying to figure it all out. The common theme is exploration (both self and world) fast-tracked from a year of backpacking abroad.

Why did you decide to take a year off and travel?
So. Many. Reasons. I scratch the surface here in Why I Traveled the World (via Thought Catalog) and delve deeper in the first chapter of my book draft that I love to talk about but hate to write.

How does one travel the world, practically speaking?
Some helpful posts include this Q&A and a Budget Breakdown.

Any packing tips?
Ugh, packing. One of these days I’ll answer this question in a post and link to it here, I promise. But, until then, my best advice is that less is always more, a color scheme is crucial and Sea to Summit cells appease even the most intense of organizers (me).

What kind of camera do you use?
I use a Nikon D3100 with a few different lenses.

What other electronics do you bring on the road?
As a writer, I don’t go anywhere without my MacBook Air (11-inch); as a reader, I don’t go anywhere without my iPad. I also have an iPhone 5 and a hard drive, for peace of mind.

I’m visiting x, y and z. Where should I go/what should I do/etc.?
I’ve written essays and comprehensive to-do lists on most places I’ve visited (see: Countries); if you have a question on something you don’t already see, feel free to ask: wanderista@gmail.com

I’m thinking about doing something similar, do you have any advice?
DO IT. Do it, do it!  It will change your life. Need more reasons? Here’s another nine.

I have a question I don’t see answered here?
